Overview
This project was for my summer internship with Intersection. Intersection is a full service branding and marketing agency located in downtown Muncie, IN. One of the interns’ clients was Intersection itself. The goal was to startup a brand new company under Intersection called Intersessions. Intersessions is a workshop geared towards social media marketing and building connections between like-minded individuals.
For this project design wise, I created the identity system and additional illustrative assets. I also participated in brainstorming sessions that included the creation of the company’s messaging and its communications strategy among other things.
This project has recently won a gold award at the 2024 Hermes Creative Awards. I am credited in this award as I created the logo design and contributed to the creation of other assets that are encompassed within this project. Identity System
Logo Rationale
The logo design encompasses clean and simple without overdoing it. The typeface is inspired by the “Intersection” logo. The teal color is taken directly from the Intersection official color identity. It allows the logo to be associated with Intersection while not completely taking over its identity. The main shape of the logo is a combination of a cloud and a brain. The cloud and brain were inspired by the ideology of “sharing knowledge through networking”. The brain is representing The inner shapes are inspired by the social networking aspect that is important to the company.
Design Exploration - Sketches
Website Doodle Assets
Intersection has design elements on their website and brand identity that are inspired by a hand-drawn look. I decided to extend the system so that new doodles can be created and designed for the Intersessions website. I used some pre-existing doodles as inspiration and created a handful of new elements to add more character to the website.

My logo design and website assets are currently being used! Intersessions is in full swing and my logo can be featured on their website, social media images, and company swag!
